Recycling Guidelines for the Town of Winamac

What to Recycle

• ALUMINUM CANS--Crush to make storage easier.
   
• METAL CANS--Crush to make storage easier.

• GLASS BOTTLES AND JARS--Rinse, do not break separate by color, (Clear, Green,Brown Bottles and Jars ONLY. No window glass, lightbulbs, mirrors, or lids.
  
• NEWSPAPERS--Place in brown paper sack. Wet newspapers CANNOT be recycled.
  
• CORRUGATED CARDBOARD--Flatten corrugated cereal boxes, 12 pack boxes, pizza boxes, etc. NO STYROFOAM.
  
• MAGAZINES AND CATALOGS--Keep them dry. Seperate from other types of paper when possible.
  
• JUNK MAIL, WRITTING PAPER, COMPUTER PAPER--All colors and all envelopes. Keep seperate from other types of paper. Keep dry. Paper toweling, tissue paper, and other restroom paper is not recyclable.
  
• PLASTIC BOTTLES--Remove and throw away all caps. Rinse and Crush only bottles marked Number 1 & 2. Can only recycle bottles with necks smaller than base. Butter tubs, cool whip containers and other similar shaped containers are not recyclable here. Also, no bottles with oil products such as cooking oil or motor oil.

• ITEMS LEFT IN YOUR RECYCLING CONTAINER ARE NOT RECYCLABLE AT THE PULASKI COUNTY RECYCLING CENTER. PLEASE DISPOSE OF THESE ITEMS IN YOUR TRASH.
